DOZENS of walk-in clinics are being held across Hampshire and Isle of Wight in the coming days as health leaders encourage anyone who has not had their COVID-19 jab to come forward.

Pop-ups are being held at fire stations, GP practices, churches, hotels and other venues as health and care teams work to make it even easier for local people to grab a jab.

I strongly encourage anyone who has not yet taken up the offer of a vaccine to do so as soon as possible.”

Notes to Editors

  • More than 85% of people in Hampshire and Isle of Wight have now received their booster jab – over 1m people. We are hugely grateful to all of our colleagues, partners and volunteers for their efforts in helping to ensure as many people as possible are protected against the virus.
  • Health and care teams have redoubled their efforts to ensure as many people as possible receive their booster, maximising their protection against COVID-19. Work continues to further increase uptake rates and teams are focusing on inequalities work to make sure groups/communities with lower uptake are not left behind.
