We have been notified that the Astradent Dental Group has gone into administration. While we establish the full circumstances, we are working with the dental practices as it enters this process.
The four sites that are currently closed are listed below:

- Northern Dental, Cosham, Portsmouth, PO6 3ER
- Brunswick Place Dental, Southampton, SO15 2AQ
- Angelsea Dental, Shirley, Southampton, SO15 5QJ
We can reassure patients that more NHS dental care has been commissioned over the past 12 months than the Astradent practice has been delivering, so patients will continue to see improvements in access to NHS dentists in Southampton and Portsmouth despite this change.
We are aware some patients do find it difficult to see an NHS dentist and that there is still work to do. Since we took on responsibility for NHS dentistry two years ago we have commissioned more dental care, uplifted payments to dental practices and commissioned a mobile dental unit and we are continuing to make improvements towards our goal of greater dental care for all our communities.
