This week is International Fraud Awareness Week.
NHS Fraud occurs when someone tricks our NHS so that they can benefit financially or in another way. It's a crime that the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board is committed to tackling, but it's also one that requires the combined efforts of everyone within our organisation, the wider NHS and beyond.
Everyone has a role to play in fighting fraud, not just during International Fraud Awareness Week, but all year round.
Our Integrated Care Board, Fraud and Security Management Service, and your Local Counter Fraud Specialist is available to assist all staff and the public with any fraud, bribery, and corruption concerns.
Together we can:
- spot fraud
- report fraud
- stop fraud - both prevention and enforcement
Your local Counter Fraud Specialist, Colin Edwards, can be contacted by emailing colin.edwards1@nhs.net.
