Last week, maternity services across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight were successful in winning six awards. One at the Royal College of Midwives awards and five at the South East Perinatal Learning and Sharing Celebration Event.
The team behind the maternity triage line which was launched in November 2022, took home the Outstanding contribution to midwifery services: digital award at the Royal College of Midwives award ceremony which took place on Friday 19 May.
The maternity triage service which is accessed via the Healthier Together app, allows pregnant people to log any maternity concerns they may encounter during their pregnancy and have instant access to the help or advice that they need. In January 2023, information in the app was accessed nearly 12,000 times.
Massive congratulations to the team behind the service, Holly Green, Layla Toomer and Kim Allen.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight were also shortlisted for the Outstanding contribution to maternity services – (Perinatal Mental Health) award, but narrowly missed out to Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
