A number of pharmacies will be open on New Year’s Day and the Bank Holiday Monday (January 2) throughout Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Click Hampshire or Isle of Wight to see the pharmacies that plan to open near you.
You can also visit this map of the pharmacies that will open. The times are subject to change, so please check with the pharmacy before you travel and visit the NHS England website for updates.
On the Isle of Wight, there will be pharmacies open on both days at Newport, Shanklin, Sandown and Yarmouth – although their opening times vary.
On the mainland, several pharmacies are open in the cities and at least one in the major towns.
Dr Tim Cooper, a GP and the Deputy Chief Medical Officer for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System, said: “December has been an extremely challenging time for the NHS, not helped by flu taking a toll in many homes and workplaces.
“Pharmacies are a great High Street resource, offering expert advice about over-the-counter medicines to treat common health conditions, as well as information on medication and a range of other services.
“With all the many colds, coughs and seasonal ailments about, pharmacists offer a fast and convenient service.”
