Introduction to Safe Surgeries: Improving access to Primary Care - Population Health Academy

Please join us for our Introduction to Safe Surgeries: Improving access to Primary Care session as part of our Inclusion Health Community of Practice sessions.

Everyone has the right to register with a GP, irrespective of their immigration status or any other demographic characteristic. Proof of address and identification are not required. This flexibility helps to safeguard many people in vulnerable circumstances, including those who are homeless, and people seeking asylum and ensures wider access to primary healthcare for everyone.

Why become a Safe Surgery?

  • Be part of a supportive national network of over 2,000 other practices
  • Free resources, training, translated posters and support
  • Support staff learning and skills building
  • Improve efficiency of the registration process
  • Meet the needs of your community
  • Improve patient experience
  • Demonstrate ‘Responsive’ and ‘Caring’ practice in CQC inspections

The session will be chaired by Marina Davidson, Advocacy Manager (Primary Care Lead), Doctors of the World UK.

This session will be recorded, therefore by registering you are giving consent to be recorded.
