No Wrong Door (NWD) is what we are calling the adult community mental health transformation programme across Hampshire, Southampton, Isle of Wight, and Portsmouth.
Community means the geographical space in which people live and can include ethnicity, gender, occupation, or interests which can be important sources of support.
The NWD model recognises that mental health is also affected by quality of housing, employment, family and personal contacts, leisure and cultural activities, technological solutions, and other community resources such as green spaces. Mental health services will work together with the community to ensure that care can be provided locally, and that support can be received in several settings for multiple aspects of a person’s life.
We are also working to dissolve barriers between primary and secondary care, mental health and physical health, and health and social care, to deliver integrated, personalised, place based and well-coordinated care.

Drop us a message if you would like to be involved in this group.
What is coming up next?
What has your experience been of mental health services in Hampshire, Southampton, Isle of Wight, or Portsmouth? We are trying to understand people’s experiences which will help us design what the new, transformed services should look like. Keep an eye out for surveys and invitations to engagement events in your local area.

Andover Mind
We are Andover Mind and we are here to make sure nobody with a mental health problem has to face it alone. Our charity is committed to increasing awareness of mental health, challenging discrimination and breaking down the stigma of mental illness, providing accessible services, and a supportive environment for anyone in need of our help.
Andover Mind wellbeing centres provide free 1:1 support, group activities and paid for counselling, whilst our practitioners and peer support workers deliver free services in the community via the primary care network, covering a geographical region across mid and north Hampshire.
We offer a compassionate and client-centred approach, through a range of services and resources designed to empower adults in their mental health journey, with a focus on building resilience and improving wellbeing, as well as supporting unpaid adult carers and providing advice to those living with dementia, and their relatives. For young people, our Be You service provides support, signposting and advice to 11–17-year-olds through twice weekly drop-in sessions.
For those experiencing a mental health crisis out-of-hours, our Safe Haven in Basingstoke is open 365 days a year from 6pm-10pm providing a safe space for de-escalation, with no appointment needed for walk-ins, by telephone, and virtually via our website.
