The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Digital Social Care Team is working in close partnership with Hampshire Care Association. Established in 1979, Hampshire Care Association is the voice for Residential and Domiciliary Care Providers in Hampshire and work in partnership with Hampshire County Council, Southampton City Council and Portsmouth City Council as well as Hampshire and Isle of Wight ICS. Our goal is to ensure that care provision in Hampshire is of the highest standard and quality and that those requiring care receive it with dignity and compassion.
In 2021, Hampshire Care Association was awarded ‘Best Professional Association’ at the European Enterprise Awards and its professional team continue to provide support to care providers across the region.

One of our key programme objectives is to improve the digital maturity and confidence of our social care providers. This can take many forms, and we are keen to support our hardware and software delivery with the foundation skills required to get the best out of using digital daily.
We have teamed up with Barclays Digital Eagles, and with their Digital Wings platform we have created a HIOW training package that is free for all social care providers to use. The platform includes several modular based eLearning bundles for staff to access and covers several key digital elements for day-to-day support.
