The HIOW DiSC Programme is currently working in partnership with the Hampshire Care Association on a Digital Survey for Care Homes in the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System.  The survey, which is the first of its kind for the entire Integrated Care System, takes around 5 minutes to complete and has questions about the digital care technology that is used in care homes.

We would like all care homes in the Integrated Care System to complete it, for a couple of reasons:

  1. At present there is no overall picture of exactly what kinds of technology is being used in care homes in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.  The questions in the survey help us understand what technology and tools are currently used, and where the gaps are, so we can prioritise our support.
  2. We can offer you funding to buy digital social care technology. Completing the survey means that the Digital Social Care Team can identify exactly where support can be offered to homes.  Each survey response is reviewed to see what a home has and does not have.  If, for example, a home answers that they do not have a reliable internet connection the team will be able to offer them funding support to improve it.  Wherever possible the team will provide digital support for implementing tools and technology, and signpost providers to our support offers within and alongside the programme, for example shared care record access (CHIE)

We are aiming to get as many care homes as possible to complete the survey, so if you work in a care home and you have not yet completed our digital survey, please do consider it.  If you don't complete it, you could be missing out on financial help to make your care home more digitally mature.
